THE AUSTRALASIAN ACADEMY OF COLOURFUL HEALING AND METAPHYSICS
CODE OF PRACTICE
The Australasian Academy of Colourful Healing and Metaphysics will ensure policies and management practices are adopted which maintain high professional standards in the marketing and delivery of education services, and which safeguard the educational interests and welfare of students.
For the purpose of this Code of Practice:
A "student" refers to any person participating in training delivered by The Australasian Academy of Colourful Healing and Metaphysics.
Grievance Policy
The Academy has a Grievance procedure in place, which will be implemented by staff when required and which information is included in the Course information sheet given to students upon enrolment.
Appeals Policy
The Academy has in place a fair and appropriate procedure for students who wish to appeal a decision made on the assessment of learning outcomes. In the first instance the appeal should be made in writing and forwarded to the Senior Teacher or the Director, for review.
Access and Equity Policy
The Academy applies access and equity principles and provides timely and appropriate information, advice and support services in terms of learning materials and personal counselling / mentoring which assist students to identify and achieve their desired outcomes.
The Academy is committed to ensuring that it does not discriminate.
Records Management
The Academy has sound client / learner records management procedures in place covering the following:
· Security
· Backup of records
· Retrieval
· Confidentiality
· Access to Student Information
· Student Access
Recognition of Prior Learning
The Academy has an RPL Policy and Procedure should a student wish to apply for recognition on the basis of life experience, they can obtain an application from the Director. Support, will be provided by the Director on the type of evidence to be produced.
Charges / Refunds
The Academy has Policies for the above mentioned, that are fair and equitable. The Academy guarantees the refund of fees to students should it cancel or discontinue a course for any reason. Should a student withdraw from a course for legitimate reasons, the student will in the first instance, be interviewed by the Director..
Marketing and Advertising of Training and Assessment Services
The Academy will market the educational product with integrity, accuracy and professionalism, avoiding vague and ambitious statements. In the provision of information, no false or misleading comparisons will be made with any other course or provider.
The Academy agrees to operate in accordance with the national protocol for marketing and advertising.
Disciplinary Policy
The Teaching staff will, at all times follow the Policies and Procedures as set out in this Code of Practice, and the PPF.
All Course material used in the Training and assessment of courses offered by the Academy is Copyright *** and must not be reproduced without the prior consent of the Director of the Australasian Academy of Colourful Healing and Metaphysics.
Any breach of this may result in further action taken at the discretion of the Director of the Academy.
All teachers must conduct themselves with a high level of professionalism at all times.

The Academy will provide students with accurate and relevant information on learner support services prior to commencement of training. These include:

Delivery and Assessment
The Academy has policies and management policies and procedures in place which maintain high professional standards in the delivery of VET services, and which safeguard the interests and welfare of students.
The Academy will maintain a learning environment that is conducive to deliver the nominated training products and services, provide adequate facilities and uses appropriate methods and materials.
Equal Opportunity Policy

Risk Management Policy
The Academy has a risk management procedure in place. This procedure consists of a document stating what the risk is, the action that needs to be undertaken and the person responsible for the action and the date the action was completed.
This document shall be updated under the Version Control procedure each time an action is completed.
This Policy and Procedure will be an ongoing procedure for the Academy and will include any risk thought applicable by either staff or students that is brought to the Academies attention.
Occupational Safety and Health
The Academy abides by the OS & H Regulations of 1996 that are relevant to this workplace and also Sections 21 & 22 of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1984.
Enrolment / Orientation Procedure
The Academy has a procedure in place for the enrolment and orientation of new students.
Induction for Teachers
The Academy has an induction procedure and checklist for teachers entering the Academy.
