SAGITTARIUS
An
energetic Fire sign, caught between the forces of Matter and Spirit, their great
test.
Often
depicted as the energy of the Planet Chiron, known as the Wounded Healer,
Sagittarius is the Centaur, half beast and half man.
Another image of overcoming the “bestial animal nature” in man. The predominant energy of Sagittarius is to balance the
never ending cycle between the instinctual forces and the Spirit.
A great love of adventure, travel and exploring to understand life. Always wanting to enlarge his consciousness and connect with the “roots of life.’, he is a friendly, generous and intuitive fellow, but don’t fence him in.
Colours: Coral and Lilac.
Energies to do with healing, unrequited love and serving the Christ Ray.
Grief, pain and suffering with an ability to undergo deep transformation
on all levels.
SYMBOLS
Centaur:
Depicted
as half horse and half human. The
Beast also possesses a power, a control which it can exercise, but with the aid
of the Will (the Centaur) who can bend his bow and aim his arrow at the target
of pure and the higher consciousness of
Spirit, can liberate himself from the world of matter and its primitive
instincts.
Angelic
Being: Represents
the Higher Worlds, freed from matter and the flesh and now residing in the force
of his Spirit.
Hebrew
Letter Samekh: Samekh
is a return into oneself, a return to one’s origins which celebrates one’s
rediscovery of instinctual, creative and regenerative forces.
Samekh supports a psychic equilibrium by the exercise of free will, which
we can orientate our will towards the outside world, or the inner world.
At this stage there has been a gaining of power over the elements, making
him strong and self aware.
Samekh
represents a circular movement which returns to and passes through its starting
own point. Known also as
Ouroboros, the mythical snake biting its own tail, and has been present at the
four corners of the earth since the mists of time.
Symbolic of the eternal return, the perpetual motion which favours
regeneration, and which is in possession of a magical power.
A
principle of self-fertilisation. It
is where the “666” comes from, denoting any Beast which fertilizes itself,
at the same time devours and consumes itself.
Evil always ends up destroying itself, since that is its principle and
its function.
Jupiter:
Said
to be the King of the Gods, rules Sagittarius.
Jupiter is our actor and has a habit of always changing shape. When courting he can be a swan, a bull or a shower of
gold. Jupiter has an
explosive temper with thunderbolts and flashes of lighting.
