SCORPIO

Scorpio, fixed water and ruled by Mars and Pluto.   Mars represents inner conflict, the Planet of War and an energy of stimulation and awakening.  Pluto is a deeply transformative energy, with intense energies to do with unity, higher Mind functions and deep peace.  In the negative it is isolation, separation from Spirit and withdrawal on the mental level.

Scorpio has an “inner room” which is often impenetrable even unto themselves.    Highly secretive, psychic and mysterious.  With just one look they seem to be able to sum you up.   Often they have enormous survival issues and their energy is intense, penetrating, probing and powerful.

Scorpio, like all water is highly emotional, with an inner battle between the soul and the personality. Tremendous strength of will, which they use against themselves all too often.

COLOURS:

DEEP PURPLES:This colour depicts the intensity and the heightened clairvoyance and spiritual/psychic sensitivity of Scorpio.   It is a colour of transformation and healing, with deep spiritual powers and authority.    It is a colour of power and control in the negative.

  SYMBOLS:

Women: Both women are shrouded, with an indirect, or suspicious, all knowing gaze.  Depicting the secrecy, probing and penetrating gaze.

Trees/Scorpion/Desert/Snake: The Trees represent the rain forests where scorpions live, as does the hot burning sands of the mountains and the desert.   This again gives this sign great complexity.  When cornered a Scorpion has known to sting itself to death, self- sabotage is a scorpion trait.  Scorpions are not social creatures, but prefer a life alone.   However, they are non-aggressive creatures, and will only injure when injured, but there is no turning the other cheek. The Snake is representative of the transformation of Scorpio.  Shedding its skin, as he outgrows it, and growing a new one.    A sign of immortality and self-renewal.   Snakes are symbolic of wisdom and also of the Devil.  In one way the arrow in the Scorpio symbol could represent the Devil’s fork.

The mutli headed snake in the artwork represents the mythological beast Hydra that inhabits a cave in a swamp.   When one head is cut off, it simply grows another, plus another three.  The only way to kill this beast is to lift it into the Light where it dies and is left with only one pure immortal head.

NOUN: The Noun and Scorpio is really depicting what needs to be rejected and expelled, and what needs to be kept and controlled. Noun helps Scorpio to use his Willpower to reject what he must, sacrifice what he must and control himself where it is for his highest good. Noun helps Scorpio to gain equilibrium between his psychic powers and his nervous system (purple and yellow energies.)
